Me & My Family

This is my
husband, Bob.
I love this man more than words can
say. We've been through so much
together, both good times and bad.
Because our kids are grown now,
ages 19 and 23, we are now
rediscovering each other and it's
a beautiful thing! Bob enjoys hunting
and fishing, tying his own flies,
playing play station games, and
chess. He's not real happy with
getting older and fights it with every
breath he takes, but is aging quite
gracefully if you ask me. For many
years he was into Marital Arts and
collects swords and throwing knives.
He's a brown belt in Jujitsu, but has
not been active in the sport for a few
years now. He's worked for about 16
years at a log home company as
a plainer operator and knife grinder.
I love you dear, and the best is
yet to come!

This is our
oldest daughter, Candice.
She's been such a wonderful daughter,
so loving, fun, and just plain ol' good.
She's 23 years old and in Dec. 2005,
she and her boyfriend Ricky, bought
a house and moved into it. Thank God
it's only about 10 minutes away as I couldn't
stand to be far from her and not see her
often. After high school graduation she
worked at a local restraunt and a year later
began college classes at the University
of Maine. She found quickly that school
just was not for her at that time. She
then went to work for almost 2 years
at Sam's Club, and now works at a
local store here in town.
She's a tiny thing, just 5'0" and 100lbs.
she and her sister both get compared
to little pixies a lot. LOL
Since she moved out she's found
she loves to cook and pours over
recipes all the time. She brings us
what she makes sometimes.....I think
she's found her calling, she should
be a chef!
She's a real sweetie and very loyal
to family and friends.

This little
spit fire is our youngest daughter,
Jenny. She's 19. She's just as much of
a spit fire as she looks in the photo! LOL
She's very tiny too, at 4'9" and 90 lbs.
she's one feisty little thing! She doesn't
back down from anything and is the most
fearless person I've ever known. She
graduated on June 3rd 2007
and moved into her dorm at college on
Sept. 1st, 2007.
She's
had a full time, very nice boyfriend since
she was 14. His name is Patrick and he has
become like a member of the family.
Jenny is wise beyond her years, she's what
I call an "old soul" and she has served as a
teacher for me just as much as I've been a
teacher for her.
Starting the summer of 06, she worked 2 jobs,
one at a nursing home nights, and
another babysitting for 2 boys during
the day. She continued with the
nursing home job throughout her
senior year and summer of 07
continued working both jobs again.
Once she got moved into her college
dorm she began working at JC Penny's.
Her first year at college her grades were
great! She's on summer break now
and she and her roommate have moved
into their first apartment together for
the summer! How exciting and what
wonderful memories she is making!
We couldn't be prouder of her.

And this is me,
Val with my 2
beautiful daughters on each side.
I really have no idea what to say about myself.
Let's see.....I've been a stay at home mom
my entire adult life and am so glad I was
able to do that. It was never easy on
the pocket book for sure, but was much
more rewarding in more important ways.
I also spent many years racked with
anxiety and panic attacks and I'm so
happy to announce that that appears to
be gone or at least let up considerably.
I'm presently working at a nursing home
about 15 minutes away. I love my job!
I've met some of the most wonderful,
inspiring, and wise people! All of the
residents just make my day every day
and I can only hope that I will grow older
with as much grace and goodness as
they have!
I'm a digital camera and computer freak,
I enjoy working with graphics and photo's
very much. I also love to read, esp.
spiritual material.
God and spirituality are
very important aspects of my life.
I'm not a Christian, at least not in
the sense that traditional Christianity
is taught and believed. I do believe
in Christ but in a different way.
If you're interested in knowing
what I believe with all my heart
and soul, read "Conversations
with God" by Neil Donald Walsh.
Another hobby I enjoy is crafts, esp.
crocheting and cross stitch. Lastly
I'm into interior design and love to
switch things up, coordinate colors,
and give rooms a fresh new look.
My family is the most important thing
in my life, I've been so fortunate
to have such wonderful souls to
be such big parts of my life.
